Rememberance of King's Mother Day

Thai King’s royal Mother passed away 16 years ago, but Thai people and ethnic minorities are still remembering her gratitude. He recognized the rights of ethnic people and implemented lots of area development benefited to ethnic people

Remembrance ceremony was held on 18th July in Mae Fah Lung Garden in Chaing Rai Province, and the ceremony was opened by Chaing Rai governor

Mon dance performers from Mon National Culture Center (MNCC), Sangkhlaburi, opened the ceremony, by honoring the royal mother with Mon dance

Mon dance was about ‘glorious land’, praising the peace, developed and prosperous country, like the Mon people’s Suwanaphoom (Thaton) Kingdom

Mon dance took about 11 minutes and hundreds of audiences watch

Mon delegate to the ceremony was led by Ms. Manee Wuthisuwan, Chairperson of Sangkhaburi Culture Council, and Vice President of Thai Raman Association
